So I purchased this is past weekend at the enchanting spring market.



Yes it's a 70's mustard velvet sofa I'm so in love with it.



Also I painted this guy and its up in my friends booth at treasure mart.

Cleaning and suprises...

So I'm cleanin the studio cuz its a HAWT mess (I just finished painting my first big piece of furnished) and I also picked up a little piece of sweetness this weekend at the enchanted spring market. More to follow...

Date night

Last night was date night with the other half. We went flower shopping and went out to eat it was nice to have the evening off. For dinner I had the best cabbage rolls I've had in a long time. After we got home we decided to just relax outback on the patio instead of planting. I snapped a few photos of our evening.  How did you spend your night?

2013 flooding

We have had so much rain over the past 4 days we had almost 4 1/2 inches come down last night in about 8 hours half of the town is shut down do to all the rads and bridges flooded. Here are a few pics I took this evening which has actually come down some from about 4 hours ago.









These top 3 pics are supposed to be the parking lot of the local golf course it probably is 20 feet deep and flooded out onto the course.








These pics are of the local park abt a mile from my house it is flooded to the top of the bridge and the entire park looks like a lake the whole thing is completely covered. in the past this bridge has gotten covered with water. i feel so bad for all the families in howard county that have been affected by this flooding. we are lucky because we have a retention pond out back so we have not even affected but my poor parents were up all night shop vacing because there basement started flooding in 2 different places.
Thank goodness we are going to have a couple of dry days before more rain comes in.

Feverish Friday

So it's starting to warm up here we hit 50 today and the weekends supposed to be even warmer so it would only seem fitting that I would get a spring cold. Ya the kind that makes up ache all over, runny nose, watery eyes coughing and can't breathe. It all started last weekend I went to the adult Easter egg hunt with my neighbor friend while at her house we had a drink and silly me didn't pay attention and picked up her glass and took a drink ( she's had a bad cold for over 2 weeks now) I looked at her and said "oh s@@@ I just drank after you!" The doctor told her this strain of flu (a cold and i don't know why they call it the flu now? any ideas?) has been lasting about 3 weeks.
Well this is just great since now I work somewhere where I can't blow my nose without shutting the whole line down and everyone waiting on me.
Any way I hope everyone is having a Good Friday. I've been in my pjs and in bed since 7pm.

Pre Easter

Wow I haven't posted in awhile. I started a new job almost a month ago and I love the hours but its factory work building parts and my shoulders and back are killing me. It will work for now but I'm still lookin.
I can't believe this Sunday is easter where has the time gone? As I'm typing that my brains is saying to me " oh no now you sound like your parents!" Lol It happens I know we all say we don't want to be like our parents and it happens anyway. But anyway it's makin me think of spring and all the things that come with that warmer weather and the thought of being able to be outside and set on the porch I'm just totally excited about it. I hope everyone else is havin a great start to spring.

We had a storm move in last night and it dumped almost 6 inches of wet very heavy snow
