will hopefully be able to show pics of the after on the counter and the sink tomorrow. also the wall color is going to be dry brushed with brown to tone it down and make it look aged. this maybe a winter project where as i HATE to paint!!!

still willy nilly 2 days no sink and no water in the kitchen has been a mess and we cant touch the counters so that makes it hard too.

tomorrow is my last day of vaca so i'm gunna rest.

Vaca #2

So things have been a little willy nilly at the homestead. Both of us on vaca we did some cleaning and yard work, went car shopping, spent so much need time together just vegging, tried to make plans to go somewhere but flights last minute were out of control. Thought about going to Chicago(taking the train) which is what I wanted to do but the other half was a no go to cold and rainy this wkend. Wanted to go to Memphis but to far to drive for 2 days. Sooooo we decided to stay home and do a major project...paint our counter tops and put in a new sink!!! The counters take a week to dry before we can even put the toaster and coffee pot back on them!!! And the sprinkles for the counter boy are they everywhere. I will have before and after photos to post tmrw. The sink nightmare can I say the other half major anger issues so frustrated and was about to quit when they finely listened to what I was saying and the garbage disposal came right off. Then we were on the home stretch.

I will also post the new walls from when I painted on my last vaca it's not quit done I need to dry brush brown ov it to tone down the color but I will get those pics up to. Also we dressed the little guys up for Halloween and boy they were super cute so I will put those pics on to for you to see. I've been I busy girl and it's only gunna get worse next week I have my holiday meeting for work and the race is on. I found out this year we are going to be a moonlight madness store!!! Completely different post later about that.

Hope everyone's having a great month the people on the the east coast ( mrs. Eileen glad you are back on grid and hope everyone's safe) I've said a little prayer for all of you so scary the weather.

Trains

I'm sitting here in bed trying to decide if I want to get up. 2nd day of vaca and I need to get some work done but I can hear the train on the other side of town. Not sure what it is but I love the sound of trains and their horns... Maybe because as a child we took a couple of trips on a train or maybe because when I used to visit my nana in s.bend the train would run right behind here sisters house. I can remember it waking me up at night. Anyway that's my random thought this morning.

I think I'll just sit here and listen...it's dark and cloudy anyways.

Count down

5 days and then I'm on vaca... Woo hoo so excited I've waited all year. The other half is not taking time off so me and the boyfriend are spending the week together...doing some cleaning, reorganizing,cleaning out(my spring cleaning is in the fall or winter around Jan or feb ya I know weird but I never claimed to be normal), painting, antiquing and takin stuff to the food pantry. I will have a busy week. Don't forget if you're in town to come and say hi to me at the bitters sweet fall cabin show. I have been dilly dallying around and will have some new stuff for sale.
( I like the word dally my mama used to call me dad that ( spelled dallie though) his name is Dallas.
Any who I hope everyone's had a great weekend mine was busy I had to work and as always lots going on.
Two things: one I'm hopin to list some stuff in the shop...
2nd I want your opinion the other half wants to go to Vegas... I'm not sure that's my kinda town I don't think I'll have fun. Let me know what u think.

so i was hoping to have pics to post of the fall cabin last night but instead i ahd a migraine and have been in bed since fri at 3. my other half came home last night and said i think you need to go to the dr so off we go to med one which is closed they changed their hours to 5 on sat instead of 8 (it was 6). my only option was the er. we go check me in and i wait 2 hours!!! i told my other half "i'm glad i'm not dying!" they egt me back there and i wait like another 30 min before a drs aid comes in (i never even saw a dr!?) she says she wants to give me a migraine cocktail =0}. "oh okay sounds good to me but i hate needles " she says i feel thats the best thing so i agree. it was supposed to make me tired but didn't {probably because i had been in bed sleeping for also 2 days!!! my head stopped to a dull ache after the meds and a bag of iv so i got to go home. i txted my sister in law and said this gettin old is for the birds!!! this past week has been bad for me. my first migraine came on tue and wed night into thur i got a uti so thur i was at med one getting meds for that and then fri another migraine came i couldn't even finish the meds for the uti because by fri my head hurt so bad i couldn't keep anything down. what a mess i am. anyways does any one have any home remedies for migraines? i usually get a starbucks if i can stomach it and the caffiene helps with my head but they told me to lay off the caffiene for the uti. so i didn't know what to do.
sorry about all the rambling but this is what i've been upto this week.

Autumn is in the air

I've decided to post a pic of the trees behind my house each week so you can see my view from the backdoor. I do live in town so there are other houses in the picture. But the leaves always look so pretty. Check out my side bar no the new pic each week.





I have gotten out a few decorations the pillow I made a few years ago and the rocker belonged to my great grandparents.

So I finally got one of my projects done.

I had to wipe down the floor and make it spit spot before the other half got home. With all this rain the dogs feet are so wet the ground is really soft. It really makes me smile though I like the rain and I don't mind the mess.

Just some eye candy inventory is tomorrow night so Tuesday's going to be the day I hope to post about what I'm into this fall But there's a color them in this post to give u an idea... Hope everyone's enjoying the cool weather I LOVE it... Sleppin with the windows open that 40 deg air makes me sleep so good. Btw I am feeling better but the girls at work are starting to get colds so I'm loadin up on vitamin c. I miss not posting even though I usually just ramble on. The other half tells me all the time " I can't believe you have anything that interesting to read". Some people just don't get it!

bad boy again

i can't freakin believe it!!! another pair today they were up in a chair. this pair i have bought twice already. i loved them. i'm gunna crate him if he keeps it up.

i'm lovin the cooler weather. sleepin with the windows open, wakin up and being chilly i just love it!!! i'm hoping the rain we are getting tonight will help settle some of the pollen my allergies are killin me!

let me know what you think of my new header, the other half designed it for me today. what a wiz on the computer in like 10 minutes. ( show off!!!)

Irish pub

I said I would do this earlier in the summer and didn't so here are the pictures of the Irish pub here. It has a ton of character and the wood is amazing.

State fair tragedy

I feel so bad for everyone who was at the sugar land concert at the Indiana state fair. The winds were really bad in that storm. The other half and I were outside in it holding the arbor with the gourd vines on it down. We had to strap it to the riding mower and load the seats with bird seed.
Even the people not hurt physically are emotionally touched. My brother works with a guy that his daughter was there at the concert she saw the structure start to move and ran but she did turn around and wished she didn't she saw some of the metal come down and crush someone. Emotionally she very upset. Please keep these people in your prays.

I haven't forgotten about everyone just craziness. Bts is like Christmas for me and in the middle of all of that training 2 new Mgrs and a stock associate and 2 new part timers. I pooped when I get home today was my first day off in 10 days working 50-55 hrs. Shoo I'm to old for this!!!
I have lots of pics and new stuff goin on.

Great day today worked a half day and the other half and I headed to Tipton for the French flea market. This the the 3rd year but my first to go. I had high hopes and was not disappointed. There was so much eye candy. Of course I found a sofa for the studio and of course it was sold!!! But that's ok I will find another one. Here are a few pics...

So EVERYONE was jonesin on my picnic basket!!! I'm so in love =}

So we came back to town and went to treasure mart to look for a sofa but nothing well not really I found a light blue painted chair and a sofa I really like but I would have to reupholster it not sure if I want to?!

We also went up and saw the city fireworks as last weekend they were rained out a BAD storm came in and they had to reschedule. So we had a busy fun filled day the only thing that would have made it better would have been clouds and less humidity!!! Nightmare sticky I want to shave my head I can't take it. I am so ready for fall.

So I'm super excited about tomorrow the other half and I are going to the French flea market!!! It's in Tipton Indiana for those of you in the area you should go. Horton's of Tipton are hosting it with vendors in the parking lot it's their 3rd year. This is my first time but if you check out their blog it looks awesome.

As promised I have some pics!!! Some of it is just random stuff.


My dining room being prepped for the hardwood flooring ( we are changing the wall color to a blueish aqua color).


My studio from the street I just love the lanterns. We are going to paint the floor and the insides of the doors on Friday. Again a crazy blueish aqua color but darker than in the dining room.


This is Casper my stray for 2 yrs. I named her Casper because I never saw her she would see me in the house and run off scared to death. When I started feeding her I should have changed her name. She now lives with my mom inside.


Love this purse it's one from the workt by hand weekend that someone made. (sorry it's side ways I'm just lucky I got the pics on the ipad let alone figuring out how to turn it).

Had to buy another pair and have them brought to me by another store mgr because we didn't have my size. BAD BOY!!! 7 prs know between mine and the other half!!!


His moms miss willow. Isn't she cute? Well don't try to pet her she cujo!!! She hates everyone!!! I don't know why because when we got her she wasn't that way. But the boy LOVES everyone so he makes up for her.


Love these I'm Gunnar do a piece like this to practice my stitches on. Of course mine won't look like this these are sue spargo's and she the the stitching goddess!!!

Wow it's been a minute since I posted. This past wed. We put our hardwood flooring down and finished it on fri morning. It looks so good.
I've had so much going on at work we are getting ready for back to school and a mgr mtg with about 20 Mgrs in my store so it has to look AMAZING!!!
The barn is still a barn until we get it cleaned out of all the power tools then it will be called my studio.

Well I guess it's going to be difficult (the electronics in my life) I went and bought the adapter for my camera with the iPad so I can take pics and post them easier. I was already to start and guess what camera battery was dead!!! So no pics again. What a Spain.

I have decided to get rid of a lot of stuff I don,t use. I feel like it can weigh me down and it leaves no room to grow and sometimes it,s hard seeing past the mess. I am going to start tommorrow the other half has to work.
I,m tired so I,m goin to bed.

so i spent the afternoon in the studio trying to plan the lay out and how i want stuff situated in it. my other half has started adding stuff in there that i'm worried will stay(ie. pond food, fertilizer, fire wood for the pit) but i said today you only have a few weeks and then i'm movin everything out i want to get this set up how i want it.

sorry i haven't posted any pics i have a ton i want to show but need to get them off my camera and on the laptop as i don't have the adapter to put them on the ipad. i'm thinkin about adding blogger to my phone but i'm horrible at taking pics with it they are all blurry and the ipad camera the quality i think is horrible. the pics look all picalated(? not sure of spelling).

we had a nice storm roll thru this morning (i got a couple of pics too but none to post today) if you know me you know i LOVE rain. the sky was BLACK!!! it was so dark it totally made me smile.
 tomorrow i will try to have a picture post just full of pics.

So I haven't posted in awhile kinda mad at myself. Had my new iPad out back on the patio a few days ago to do a post... You probably know where this is going. Anyway I dropped it!!! Needless to say I'm ANGERY with myself I should have been paying closer attention and not trying to do what I was doing. Anyway it still works but know the side of the glass is all cracked. No warrenty so obviously I will have to get it fixed. Very upset with myself!!!

But on a better note the other half and I put stuff out for the neighborhood rummage sale. We did pretty good considering we did have much to put out I didn't get any time off to be able to get more pulled but I'm hopin the the morning I will get some more stuff out.
We ended up eating a late lunch and tried the new Irish pub in town. I will post on this tomorrow. The inside is beautiful an the food amazing!!!
