Stitching project

So one of my ideas is to do a sewing project and maybe get one of the sewing classes in my community involved or some of my bloggers involved I feel like kids need an outlet to express themselves in an artistic way. I'm calling it "the birds of a feather project" I want to have all kinds of birds, feathers, stones and very small flowers on pieces of fabric. Simple, muted dull colors on 4x4 pieces of fabric, one item per sq. I want to get the youth of our community involved to pass on the art of handwork.
As I said in my last post a lot happened in my life over the holiday weekend. Kids sometimes do stupid things out of boredom. If they have other interests they may be more inclined to make better chooses. I don't know maybe I'm foolish to think this is a good idea or maybe it is I don't know. Any feed back on this would be appreciated.

Marilyn, I think it's a great idea...and I know a Groovy Girl who would be happy to host your class/workshop...

I think it's a great idea too. Call the library, they are always looking for volunteers to offer classes. And also try the extension office. You could possibly help some kids in 4-H that need some guidance. Not sure about Groovy Girl. She doesn't want kids in her shop. What kind of fabric are you going to use? I might be able to donate.

Sorry. I'll keep my mouth shut from now on.
I got banchees and tweens confused. To me, they are all kids!
